Dr. Jennifer Dunbar was officially appointed as Assistant Principal at Midway Hills Academy during the September Board Meeting. Dunbar's passion is rooted in creating rich educational experiences for all students. Prior to this appointment, Dunbar served as the School Improvement Specialist at Midway Hills Academy for the past two years.

Dunbar has taught every grade at the elementary level including Pre-K. Her path to educational leadership began in Wilkinson County first as an academic coach under the School Improvement Grant for the Georgia Department of Education, next as a K-5 academic coach, and finally as an assistant principal. She was instrumental in launching the first after-school STEAM Enrichment program for elementary school students in Wilkinson county.

Beginning her career in education in 2006, Dunbar earned her bachelor's, master's and specialist degrees from Augusta State University and graduated with a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Georgia Southern University.

Dunbar is a native of Augusta, Georgia and is the proud mother of one daughter, Gabrielle. She is excited to be the new assistant principal at Midway Hills Academy and looks forward to working closely with students, families and the Baldwin County community.
