Midway Hills Academy's hosted a Publishing Party on August 11th in Mrs. Gresham-Spires's 4th-grade class writing Personal Narratives!
The Publishing Party is a time when young authors proudly share their published writing pieces with an audience--- their classmates and other school members.
The Benefits of a Publishing Party are immense- from oral language development, enforcement of good writers' strategies, and highlighting how authors write.
Publishing Parties motivate students to work hard during Independent Work Time and strengthen students writing for authentic purposes.
Children learn from one another, and teachers gain information about individual student strengths and needs. Overall, students gain a sense of pride and accomplishment.
