Behind the scenes of any successful event lies the dedication and effort of numerous individuals, and Lakeview Primary's Career Day is no exception. This annual event is a testament to the collective commitment of educators, parents, and local professionals who generously dedicate their time to inspire the next generation. LPS Steam Teacher and 2023 Teacher of the Year Brittany Nichols organized the event and believes that its crucial to exposing children early to possible career pathways. "We're going to have trouble filling some of these jobs if we don't expose our kids and let them learn about the opportunities that are available," she said, "All of our students have so many different interests."

This year, Lakeview Primary's Career Day managed to get about 40 career professionals to come by in staggered presentation groups to present to children throughout the day. They provided our students with a chance to explore new interests and passions. "They get to see authors, police officers, scientists, educators, firefighters, chefs, bankers, healthcare professionals, semi-truck drivers, and how it takes an entire community to make where we live successful!"

Lakeview Primary's Career Day is not just a one-day event; it is a catalyst for our students' future success. Behind the scenes, countless efforts come together to make this day possible, and the impact on our students is immeasurable. By exposing our children to local careers, we equip them with the knowledge and motivation to pursue their dreams. This early exposure ensures that our community continues to thrive with a new generation of skilled professionals who are passionate about what they do.
