November has been dedicated as Family Engagement Month. Family Engagement Month is a time set aside to recognize the critical role that families play in the academic success of the children in their lives. It is also a time to reflect on the importance of community, family, and stakeholder engagement. These partnerships are invaluable and essential pieces of the puzzle for child development.
The state recognizes the importance of Family Engagement. To highlight its importance, Governor Kemp has proclaimed November 21, 2024 as Family Engagement Day. Click here to view his proclamation. State Superintendent, Richard Woods, has also written this letter communicating his thoughts about it.
Baldwin County School District would like to thank our families for their continued involvement in our students’ development and education. It takes a village to provide children with the foundation they need for success. This month provides us with the opportunity to renew our shared commitment to the children of our community. It reminds us that working together strengthens our community and builds resilience in our children.
