Please join us in welcoming Dr. Wanda Stewart as the new Director of the Early Learning Center. Dr. Stewart attended Fort Valley State University where she earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She also earned a Specialist in Educational Leadership from Columbus State University and a Doctorate in Instructional Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. She began her career teaching in the Peach County School District after completing her student teaching and remained there for 27 years.
Dr. Stewart has been a teacher, assistant principal, and principal. She has also served in roles at the district level including Director of Pre-K, Student Support Services, and Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction.
A native of Jackson, Georgia, Dr. Stewart is the oldest of two children. She has a younger brother. Her parents still live in Jackson, Georgia. She enjoys spending time and traveling with her family and close friends. She also enjoys reading, collecting dolls, and cooking and eating new and different foods.
Dr. Stewart is excited to join the Baldwin County Team and to work collaboratively with our staff, parents and community members to ensure our students receive the best possible education.
