We would like to congratulate our wonderful spellers that competed in the District Spelling Bee last week! We are so very proud of them! The District 1st place winner was Sebastian Jackson, an 8th grader at Oak Hill Middle School. Sebastian will now be advancing to the regional competition in February. Our second-place winner was Jhakari Wanambwa, a 5th grader at Midway Hills Academy. The winning word was 'mallet'. Thanks to Ms. Erica Ingram for planning and organizing this event, the judges, and everyone who helped make this event a success. A special thanks to Oak Hill Middle School for hosting the event!
