BCSD Welcomes James Lassetter as CTAE & Federal Programs Director and CEO of Baldwin College & Career Academy


The Baldwin County School District is proud to announce the appointment of Mr. James Lassetter as the new CTAE (Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education) & Federal Programs Director and CEO of the Baldwin College & Career Academy. The Board of Education approved Mr. Lassetter during the July 2, 2024, Board Meeting.


A 1983 graduate of Baldwin High School, Mr. Lassetter began his career in education in 2002, teaching Business classes. He has also served as the CTAE Director at Peach County High School and as a Work-Based Learning Coordinator.


Mr. Lassetter holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Mercer University, a Master’s in Business Education from Georgia Southwestern State University, and a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Columbus State University.


"We are thrilled to have Mr. Lassetter join our team," said BCSD Superintendent Dr. Noris Price. "His experience and passion for Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education will be invaluable in guiding our students towards successful futures."


Mr. Lassetter is a strong advocate for the benefits of Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education. "I believe that all students should take advantage of CTAE courses to explore and prepare for their future careers," he stated.


Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mr. Lassetter and his wife, Kathy, recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. They are proud parents of four children and grandparents to eleven grandchildren. Mr. Lassetter enjoys camping, hiking, biking, and reading.
