BCSD partners with the Georgia Foundation for Public Education

The Baldwin County School District/Baldwin College and Career Academy is participating in the Georgia Foundation for Public Education PEACH Education Tax Credit program to raise funds for to strengthen our Career and Technical Student Organizations, upgrade the school garden, and purchase Agricultural Drones for our Drone piloting program.


Project 1 – Funds received through this program will help our students attend Career, Technical Student Organizations conferences and competitions. These organizations help build leadership skills and prepares them for college and careers.


Project 2 – Upgrading our garden will make it handicap accessible, perform some proper

landscaping which will allow better utilization of all space and strengthen our farm to table

program.


Project 3 – The purchase of two Agriculture drones that will provide our drone students real life skills as they use these drones to service the garden.


The Georgia Foundation for Public Education (GFPE) exists to support educational excellence for students in Georgia. GFPE provides simple ways for donors to serve students in Georgia's K-12 public school system impactfully by investing in projects and fostering relationships with donors – all to fund GFPE's vision of public-school excellence. GFPE collaborations create a better future for the 1.7 million students in Georgia’s public schools, including those in Baldwin County Schools.


Georgia’s PEACH Education Tax Credit for schools offers assurance to our Baldwin County School District/Baldwin College and Career Academy families and community stakeholders that PEACH Education Tax Credit contributions will help advance public education. The funds our community raises – all at dollar-for-dollar tax credit for donors. The donation will go directly to our College and Career Academy programs.


James Lassetter, Director and CEO of the Baldwin College and Career Academy stated, “The Peach Educational Tax Credit is going to provide much needed money to help fund several projects at the Baldwin High School. We look forward to working with our community and GFPE to provide needed resources to help fund innovative projects at the Baldwin College and Career Academy.”
