Congratulations to Christy Goforth, Special Education Coordinator for the Baldwin County School District, for being selected as this week’s BOE Employee of the Week.
Ms. Goforth has worked for the school district for 24 years. Her optimistic attitude shines bright through the work she does for Baldwin County teachers and students.
“I am a person that enjoys helping teachers and seeing students meet their goals. I am a positive person that works hard to find the light in every situation. I believe that any amount of progress is a reason to celebrate.”
When she’s not working she enjoys spending time with her loved ones and traveling. She loves visiting new places. Another favorite pastime she takes pleasure in is visiting coffee shops and meeting new people.
Her favorite type of movies to watch are Hallmark Movies--especially the ones that are filled with happiness and love.
Ms. Goforth is from McRae, Georgia. She has a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Masters degree in Special Education as well as a Masters in Leadership. In addition to her Bachelor and Masters degrees, she also has a Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction.
She has 2 children: Tyler who lives in Brunswick and is an Assistant Manager of a Chick-fil-A and Hannah who is a Senior at Augusta University and will be graduating in May.
