BCSD Board Member John Jackson Becomes President-Elect of the Georgia School Boards Association

Congratulations to John Jackson, a dedicated member of the Baldwin County School Board, on his election as the President-Elect of the Georgia School Boards Association(GSBA). His upcoming term from July 1 - June 30, 2024, is a testament to his unwavering commitment and outstanding contributions to the field of education.


Since his initial election to the Board of Education in 2008, Jackson has showcased exemplary leadership, serving as chair in 2010, 2014, and again in 2022. Jackson's impact has helped lead the Baldwin County School Board to Exemplary Board status for six consecutive years, with a Leading Edge award win in 2022. Jackson's service extends beyond the boardroom, as he actively participates in education-related organizations and initiatives. He has represented the Board on the Baldwin County Charter System Foundation of Excellence and the Baldwin County Early Learning Center Policy Council. His involvement as a legislative liaison for GSBA reflects his commitment to shaping education policy.


With an educational background that includes a Bachelor's and master's in Business Administration from Georgia College and State University, Jackson's expertise and dedication to education are evident. As the Director of Parking and Transportation at Georgia College and State University, he exemplifies his commitment to education and community betterment.


We eagerly anticipate the positive impact John Jackson will make as the President-Elect of the Georgia School Boards Association, as he continues to champion educational excellence for the benefit of all students.
