Baldwin High School is proud to announce the formation of its first Interact Club, a service organization facilitated by Career Technical Instruction Coordinator Christina Rogers and sponsored by Jan Horadan of the Milledgeville Rotary Club.

Interact is a service club for students between the ages of 14 and 18 that allows young people to make a real difference in their communities and the world, while networking with local business establishments. The club is an opportunity for students to develop leadership skills and a sense of civic responsibility, while also having fun and making new friends.

"Throughout my 25 years in education, I have been striving to assist young people to become productive citizens," said Rogers, "the vision of the Rotary coincides with giving back to society. In November, I had students from various backgrounds preparing Thanksgiving boxes for families in our community... Baldwin should be proud because those young people have expressed a desire to continue these activities in the future."

Under the guidance of Jan Horadan and Christina Rogers, the Interact Club will participate in a variety of service projects throughout the year, including local and international projects. Examples of these projects could be:

  • Fundraising for local charities

  • Running community events

  • Participating in environmental projects

  • volunteering at the local hospital

  • participating in a global project through Rotary International

Baldwin High School is excited to provide its students with this opportunity to make a positive impact in their community and beyond. We invite all students to join and become a part of this meaningful organization.
