The Baldwin County School District participated in the annual Middle Georgia Food Bank Drive on November 19, 2024. Each school collected canned goods and non-perishable food items to help support their campaign to crush food insecurity in our community. Throughout the day, students were able to drop off the food that had been collected and even participate in live newscasts.
"We are thrilled to be able to help support this initiative again this year. We must teach our students the importance of giving back to the community, and this event allows us to do just that," said Superintendent Dr. Noris Price.
Despite the rain, the community showed an incredible amount of generosity throughout the day. By the end of the day, 10 pallets of food were loaded into the truck. The Middle Georgia Food Bank will host other food drives across the region throughout the week.
