The Baldwin County School District (BCSD) proudly hosted the 2025 Distinguished Alumni Gala on Saturday, March 15th, at the Magnolia Ballroom in Milledgeville. This celebrated event is a cornerstone of the district’s mission to recognize outstanding alumni who exemplify leadership, service, and achievement.

The Baldwin County Distinguished Alumni Gala is a testament to the district’s ongoing commitment to nurturing leaders who make a positive impact locally and beyond. Each year, alumni are honored for their contributions across various fields, reinforcing the legacy of the Baldwin County School District.



2025 Baldwin County Distinguished Alumni Honorees

The 2025 Baldwin County Distinguished Alumni represent a diverse array of professions and accomplishments, highlighting the wide-reaching influence of Baldwin County Schools. This year’s honorees include:



Earnest Byner, Class of 1980

NFL Super Bowl Champion and celebrated running back, known for his remarkable professional football career and contributions to sports leadership.




Crawford Finley, Class of 1973

Retired U.S. Navy Master Chief and 2012 Baldwin High School Teacher of the Year, recognized for his military service and dedication to education.





Angie Cox, Class of 1999

CEO of the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce, a leader in regional economic development and civic engagement.





James Hartry, Class of 1976

McDonald’s All-American Basketball Coach and mentor, a respected figure in local athletics and youth development.




Marquita Driskell, Class of 2002

Detective with the Milledgeville Police Department, honored for her commitment to public safety and community service.





Todd Blackwell, Class of 1982

Baldwin County Probate Judge, whose legal career reflects a steadfast dedication to justice and civic leadership.







Honoring Legacy and Inspiring Future Generations


Each Distinguished Alumni recipient received a commemorative plaque and will be permanently featured on the Wall of Fame at Baldwin High School. In addition, personalized posters telling their unique stories will be displayed throughout the school, serving as daily inspiration for current students.


A Night to Remember at the Magnolia Ballroom


The 2025 gala brought together Baldwin County School District leaders, students, alumni, and community members for an evening of celebration, unity, and reflection on the district’s longstanding tradition of excellence.
