Baldwin County School District Celebrates Leslie Perez Vasquez and Kehli West as 2025 Blaze Award Winners

Writer: EricJonesEricJones

The Baldwin County School District is excited to announce Leslie Perez Vasquez of Baldwin High School as the 2025 recipient of the distinguished Blaze Award, recognized this month at the Baldwin Chamber of Commerce’s annual "Eggs and Issues" event.

Established in 2022 by Kyle Hitchcock, the Blaze Awards spotlight Baldwin County’s highest-achieving students on the ACT, along with the teachers who have profoundly influenced their academic journey. Modeled after the STAR program, which honors top SAT performers, this ACT Award celebrates both excellence in testing and the power of mentorship in shaping student success.

Leslie selected Ms. Kehli West as her honored Blaze Teacher, crediting Ms. West for her meaningful guidance and encouragement throughout her time at Baldwin High. Their recognition underscores the district's ongoing commitment to academic achievement and inspiring educator-student relationships.

The Baldwin County School District congratulates both Leslie Perez Vasquez and Ms. Kehli West on this exceptional accomplishment as the 2025 Blaze Awards recipients.
