Baldwin County School District Announces the 2024 District Teacher of the Year

The Magnolia Ballroom at Georgia College was aglow on the evening of October 26th with a sense of pride and appreciation as Baldwin County teachers, students, and staff gathered to honor and celebrate the remarkable educators of the Baldwin County School District. The occasion was the 2023 annual BCSD Teacher of the Year Banquet, a night that showcased the dedication and hard work of our outstanding teachers who consistently go above and beyond for their students.

Baldwin County is thrilled to announce that the 2024 District Teacher of the Year is none other than Mary Ashley McCue, a dedicated first-grade teacher at Lakeview Primary School. McCue's incredible journey does not end here; she will now represent our district on the state level, competing for the coveted title of State Teacher of the Year.

During the ceremony, all of our teachers of the year were highlighted and celebrated along with a buffet dinner for friends and family. Each of our school Teachers of the Year represents the very best in education, embodying the spirit of excellence that defines our school district. From elementary to high school, from STEM to the arts and special education, we are privileged to have such a diverse and talented group of teachers who inspire and shape the future of our students.

We applaud Mary Ashley McCue for her outstanding achievement, and we also celebrate all our Teachers of the Year for their remarkable contributions to education. Congratulations to Mary Ashley McCue, Kizzi Walker, Chasity Hatcher, Jamie Steinmeyer, Crystal Williams, and Carmen Lester! Your dedication and passion continue to shape the bright future of our students and inspire us all. Congratulations to our exceptional educators!
