Baldwin Academy Playhouse Performs Debut Musical Play "Press Start"

Writer: EricJonesEricJones

The Baldwin Academy Playhouse recently made its debut with a spectacular musical play, "Press Start", that brought together theater groups from two different academies - Midway Hills Academy and Lakeview Academy. The play, which was performed at the Baldwin High School Theater just prior to Spring Break, drew in large crowds.

"Press Start" is a one-hour musical that creatively combines parodies of beloved 8-bit video game characters, providing a unique and entertaining experience for audiences. The play showcases the characters as they try to raise gold coins to continue playing in their favorite games.

The kids who performed in the play did an outstanding job, delivering a vibrant and colorful performance on both nights. Credit is due to the play directors, Elizabeth Yorker and Robyn Meeks, who did a fantastic job directing the young actors and bringing out their best performances.

It's inspiring to see the coming together of two theater groups from different academies to form the Baldwin Academy Playhouse. The collaboration has provided an opportunity for these young actors to come together and showcase their talent in a broader platform, and it's clear that their hard work paid off.

Overall, the Baldwin Academy Playhouse's first outing was a huge success, and the future looks bright for the young and talented actors. We look forward to seeing what they have in store for their next performance!
