When the lights came down and the curtain came up, the Baldwin Fine Arts Center, housed inside Baldwin High School, was filled with hundreds of folks coming out to enjoy the holiday spirit. However, it wasn't high school students taking the stage, instead it was the students of Blandy Hills Elementary providing a few extra songs, smiles and laughs for us to enjoy.
"Our students worked really hard the entire first half of the year practicing and rehearsing and it paid off," said Mr. James Bell, chorus teacher at Blandy Hills Elementary.
"We put on a holiday performance every year but this one was probably the largest scale performance we've ever done. It's really rewarding to work with these kids and see their talents and what they can accomplish," he added.
